Do I need to know how to code?+

No. Flowmaps is made for first-time founders. You describe what you want in plain words; Claude writes the code and explains what it's doing. Git and the terminal are handled for you, with a question before anything changes.

What do I need to get started?+

A Flowmaps account and your own Anthropic API key (it takes a minute to create). To let AI build features, you also install Claude Code, or connect Flowmaps to Claude. The setup guide walks you through it step by step.

How much does the AI cost?+

You bring your own Anthropic key, so AI usage is billed by Anthropic at their prices, straight to your account. Flowmaps never adds a markup. Planning (mind map, board, flags) works without AI costs at all.

Is my API key safe?+

Your key is encrypted before it's stored, only decrypted for your own requests, and never shown in full again. You can replace or remove it any time.

What are flags?+

Automatic warnings when a feature touches something risky: legal, security, compliance or cost. They tell you what to check before you build. They're not legal advice.

Can I use it with Claude?+

Yes. Connect Flowmaps to Claude and just ask "What can I build from Flowmaps?". Claude reads your board, builds the feature, and keeps your board up to date.

What happens after the beta?+

The beta is free. Before paid plans start, you'll get an email with plenty of notice, and the Starter plan stays free.
